Study of the dynamic properties of structures under external excitation is Modal Analysis. Using the modal analysis, the natural frequencies, damping ratio and mode shape of a structure can be obtained. The modal analysis systems are composed of:

Measuring and analyzing the dynamic behavior of structures in the Vibration and Modal Analysis (VMA) laboratory is done based on single-input and multiple-output (SIMO) approach, using several one directional accelerometers, 8-channel vibration analyzer, modal hammer and electromechanical shaker.
